Signature certification

A notary can certify the signatures of parties on documents presented by them.

Documents Required for Signature Certification:

  1. A valid identification document.
  2. The printed document on which you intend to have your signature certified, in the appropriate number of copies.
  3. A certificate from the tax office confirming that inheritance and donation tax was not due, has been paid, or the obligation expired due to the statute of limitations – this applies if the subject of the agreement was acquired, for example, through inheritance, gratuitous termination of joint ownership, or adverse possession.

Additionally, if you do not speak Polish, you should be accompanied by a sworn translator for the language you speak.

If the document is for the sale of shares in a limited liability company, please ensure the agreement includes the following information:

  1. Whether the company whose shares are being transferred owns or is the perpetual usufructuary of agricultural properties (and if so, whether their area is less than 5 hectares) and whether it is a dominant company in a company that owns or is the perpetual usufructuary of agricultural properties.
  2. Whether the company is considered a foreigner within the meaning of the provisions of the Act on the Acquisition of Real Estate by Foreigners.
